How do I pay?
If you pay out of pocket:
I accept debit, major credit cards, and HSA.
If cost is an issue, I do offer a certain number of sliding scale slots, so please do not hesitate to ask about this!
Benefits of not using insurance:
-No diagnosis needed (with insurance, in & out of network, it is required to have a diagnosis in order to prove medical necessity)
-No restrictions on number of sessions, length of treatment, types of therapy used, or why people are being seen for counseling
-Confidentiality (with insurance, they have access to your records and can request them anytime).
If you have insurance:
If you are in-network and have Premera, I will bill your insurance with the information that you provide to me. You will be responsible for any deductibles and/or copays/coinsurance at the time of session.
If you are using out-of-network benefits (using any insurance company that is NOT Premera), I can provide a super bill. Most insurance companies will reimburse clients at full or partial rates. This will require you to pay in full, up front, then submit your super bill to your insurance company. However, I cannot guarantee reimbursement.
Good faith estimate
The amount of money that you invest in counseling is dependent on each unique individual and their needs. For most clients, I recommend an intake, then weekly sessions to start. Once rapport is built and/or symptoms decrease, I would recommend bi-weekly sessions. Once clients are feeling more stable, moving to monthly check-ins would be appropriate. I am available by email if clients want to schedule any sessions outside of their routinely scheduled sessions (for example, if something urgent comes up where support is needed). There are no required number of sessions needed. I am happy to provide a good faith estimate with a yearly projection upon your request.
